Author Meet

An Author Meet was organized at Cambridge School, Indirapuram, on November 20, 2013 as a part of the Bookaroo Children’s Literature Festival’s Outreach Programme - Bookaroo in the City and the school’s ISA project – ‘Super Sleuths- Popular Detectives in English Fiction’. The guest author, Ms. Wendy Cooling, Head of Children’s Book Foundation and recipient of an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) had a lively session with the students of classes IX & X. She discussed the reading habits of young adults and focused on the topic ‘Books to keep you Hooked. Young adult fiction is the best ever and there’s nothing as addictive as the mystery and the need to solve it. What makes the ideal detective- listen, discuss and create’.
The highly interactive and activity based programme proved to be very enriching and inspiring for all the participants.
